Seven Energy System

Many of us live lives that are governed by schedules. Happy Friday, unhappy Monday, day job, kids, bills, responsibilities, life itself day in and day out. I discovered that rituals, mantra meditation, and some basic yoga practices have a profound effect on my body and mind. And it takes time and dedication to devote to such practices. One intuitive way to tune into a higher realm is by experiencing natural energies. Every color holds a vibration that can affect mood through sensation and emotion. It’s instinctive what attracts us. Sometimes we would be pushed away by a certain color or energy, when in fact we need it the most. Sometimes we’re attracted to that which harms us. Focusing on developing or improving areas where we lack something also takes dedication and work. Becoming narrow-minded and intensely focused in our attempts to heal a certain area of our lives is a risk. The seven energy system aims to help us experience a variety of complementing energies – without fearing any of them and without overly attaching ourselves to any single one.

The concept is quite simple. Regardless of your chart and any afflicted planets, you can work with natural stones. It’s only large enough precious stones that hold truly strong energy that we should be careful with. All other stones can be used without much worry. The seven energy system is based primarily on color, but also some of the stones that are part of it are acceptable substitutes for precious stones in Vedic astorology. Each day of the week corresponds to a planet, meaning that the planet’s energy affects aspects of the day. That’s actually true for segments of hours within each day, but for the most part we can consider a given planet ruling over a given day of the week:

Monday – the moon
Tuesday – Mars
Wednesday – Mercury
Thursday – Jupiter
Friday – Venus
Saturday – Saturn
Sunday – the sun

From then on each planet is associated with a color. For example the moon is opaque white, and Venus is translucent white. Jupiter is yellow, Mercury is green, and so on. The precious stone that is associated with each planet is the one that governs the color. For example diamond for Venus, emerald for Mercury, blue sapphire for Saturn, ruby for the sun, pearl for the moon, red coral for Mars, and yellow sapphire for Jupiter. The seven energy system works with various stones that match these colors and the designs have a general concept that matches the symbolism of the planet. The mala corresponding for Venus and Jupiter is more luxurious to symbolize expansion and joy. The mala for Saturn has a more stern, structured design to symbolize the wisdom of Saturn.

In this system you can choose one or a few planets you like to focus on and with the malas for those days make sure you tune into the given energy during the day. The mala can be used to mediate with mantras during that day, or to put under your pillow on the night before that given day. You can also get all 7 and wear each one accordingly every day of the week. It’s best if the stones touch the skin while you wear them.

And that’s really about it. The point of the system is not to fit a rigid schedule or system of healing. The point is to simply be more aware of the purpose of each energy and not fear any one of them, nor overindulge in any other. For example Mars and Saturn are considered malefic planets, but I have found just by tuning into those energies and exploring the mythology of these planets that they have very useful aspects that we should definitely have in mind. Venus and especially Jupiter have expansive energies, but they can make one prone to overindulging or end up expanding something that really should not be expanded, so to speak. Because too much of a good thing is no good thing. The moon is highly sensitive and will absorb or reflect all other energies. The sun gives life but can be dangerous too. All in all, a balance is what the seven energy system strives to achieve. The system itself will not help you achieve the balance or do anything in particular to have you reach a balance. The system is merely a simple daily tool to remind you to think about those things, be aware and mindful of what’s going on in your body and how you react to it.

In the end tuning into all 7 energies within the same week will help you get used to those energies, especially the ones you might naturally be uncomfortable with. And once you tune into them you can understand them better, you can use them better for your benefit.
