It is an honor that you have considered to welcome one of items I make in your life. Each set is handmade to order, except those marked as Ready to ship. I collect all orders placed in a given week and then source the stones in bulk. Once the stones arrive, I purify them with a smudging ritual and then create the pieces by hand in my home. The creation process is often accompanied by mantras or an atmosphere meant to induce specific positive energy. Most often I will attempt to create a specific bead strands that corresponds to a day of the week on that day of the week, but it’s not always possible. Once created, the beads are activated through meditation that I perform with them. Or I will just wear the piece for a little while around the house. Then I do another smudging ritual and they are ready to ship! This process is what results in a 3-week shipping period on average. If you plan to gift any of the beads, you must plan in advance and account for enough time to receive them. What is sold here is not a consumer commodity – it is an item that is meant to hold a special meaning, and as such waiting to receive it can only increase the joy once it arrives. RETURNS
I accept returns within 60 days for whatever reason. If the beads do not resonate with you or you no longer wish to own them, you can return them. You will be covering the shipping costs. Please take good care of your stones. If they are in a damaged condition due to improper use (read below), returns will not be accepted. CARE
Most stones used in the sets are hard, and almost any stone will not be damaged if water touches it for a brief moment. For example, some water splatter while you are washing the dishes. However, you should not shower with your jewelry. The items themselves can be cleaned on occasion by washing by hand in tepid water with a tiny bit of fragrance-free dish soap. The purpose of that is to wash the cord or tassel, as well as the stones themselves though stones are less porous than cloth and cord materials, so it’s less bound to accumulate dirt on its surface. Leave to air dry. Do not submerge lava stones or wood beads in water. The same goes for strands that have a large quantity of metal spacers. When dry, the stones, including wood or lava, can be conditioned with mineral oil. Apply sparingly either on your hands and then run the stones through your palms, or use a microfiber cloth. Please educate yourself on how to care for natural stones in general, but be mindful that in time any item of this nature that you own might change its appearance. I advise you to welcome that, as it is the proof that the item has become a part of your life. Always feel free to clean the stones with a damp towel. I advise entirely against using harsh products such as sanitizers, bleach, or any wet wipes that have harsher chemicals or disinfectants. Do not spray perfume or anything else on your beads. Also note, any stone can break if it falls on a hard surface from some height. That’s true mostly for larger pendants. While dropping your prayer beads on the carpet most probably won’t damage them, if they fall on tiles, they might get damaged, and that’s normal for these kinds of natural stones. At least those that are not diamonds!
DISCOLORATIONS
Brass, copper and other metal spacers and bead caps will become discolored in time or as they touch your skin repeatedly. For example the part of a bead that touches the back of your neck when you wear it might get discolored faster than the front if you wear it over clothes. Additionally prayer beads with metal spacers will have some change of color on the surface of the stone bead where it touches the metal. All that just adds to the unique charm of each prayer bead or necklace. It is recommended the stones touch your skin as much as possible so wearing them under your clothes or on your wrist where possible is a good option. CUSTOMIZATION
It is possible to customize lightly an item based on the prototype. Please be mindful that customizations are subject to discussion and review, and the request might be rejected for a variety of reasons. For example, if you have a particular dislike of a certain stone featured as the one guru bead in a prayer strand, you can request a substitute of that bead only. Subject to availability. Reach out for details. However, extensive substitutions and deviation from the featured prototype will fall under the category of a custom order. If you would like an entirely custom made item, please reach out to me to discuss the options. Always allow extended time for discussion and creation of custom orders. PURIFICATION
The stones are purified by smudging. I use sage. If you need more information about stone and crystal purifying, there are numerous resources you can find online or in books and documentaries about crystal healing. As a rule most stones will not hold negative energy. They can, however, hold various energies depending on how they were handled in the tumbling and cutting process and during transportation. Purification is done to cleanse a stone from any energy it might hold, in order to have it ready for activation.
ACTIVATION
The process of creating the bead strands is in itself a process of activation. As I work by hand with each bead to create your piece, I aim to be as calm and positive as possible. I focus on the energy the stones bring and my thoughts gravitate around specific intentions, musings or emotions associated with the stones. As a rule, I try to open my heart and let the love flow in and out. I light candles and burn incense in the room while creating the strands. Finally, once complete, the beads are ready to be used during meditation. I perform at least one meditation session by chanting mantras while holding the beads or letting them run through my fingers to count each mantra. Sometimes I will wear the beads for a day or more to bring further activation to them. It is through the energy of the hands and body that I aim to activate the item that will then enter your life. It is in essence a connection that we establish through time and space.
STONE SOURCES
Originally all stones are sourced from places all around the world. I acquire them from Teja’s Beads. This is a reputable seller. Please do not reach out to Teja’s Beads for any issues with your stones. Spacers, cords and bead caps are made of various materials, all described specifically on the given item’s page. Some are from Teja’s Beads, others I get from Amazon.
STONE QUALITY
The stone quality in these items is good. These are natural stones so some of them have inclusions, others have small cracks depending on the stone’s hardness. They are generally not entirely uniform. The precious stones such as emerald and ruby are natural real stones. However, they are of lesser quality than those you find cut for jewelry such as rings or pendants. Hence, the affordable price. Do not expect an entirely uniform appearance of stones of the same type. Only stabilized / synthetic stones have that kind of attribute.
